Career Choice Program Terms

By submitting your application for Amazon Career Choice (the “Program”) you certify, to the best of your knowledge, that the information on the application is complete and accurate.  You understand that falsification, misstatement, or omissions of information on your application may lead to disqualification for the receipt of educational assistance benefits and/or result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment, at Amazon’s sole discretion.

You have reviewed the materials about the Program, including the Program Guidelines and FAQs, and understand fully your rights and responsibilities under the Program.

You understand it is your responsibility to make sure the application process is complete.  If not, the application may be disqualified.

You authorize the educational institution identified in your application to release your educational records (including academic records such as transcripts and other administrative records such as sources and amounts of financial assistance) to Amazon in order to administer the Program. You acknowledge that Amazon Program staff are "authorized officials" to obtain your educational records under the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act, 20 USC 1232 et seq.

You authorize the Program to share your contact information with Program-partner Schools, Employers, Recruiters, and Coaches, and further authorize those same partner entities to contact you to offer enrollment and support services related to your education or job search. You may adjust your contact preferences at any time in your Career Choice Profile page.

If you received prepayment for a course and withdraw, fail, or do not otherwise successfully complete the course, you understand that you will not be reimbursed for required books and fees associated with the course. In addition, no future payments will be made until the full amount of the assistance provided for the course is repaid to the Program by the educational institution or yourself, or until you retake and successfully complete the course at your own expense.

If Amazon determines, in its sole discretion, that the Program has made an overpayment to you or the educational institution, the Program may recover the amount of the overpayment by requiring the payee to return the excess payments, reduction of future payments, or other reasonable methods.

This application, upon receipt, becomes property of the Program.

You agree that, if selected to participate in the Program, as permitted by applicable law, Amazon may use your name and likeness and any other information or materials in connection with the Program for purposes of news, publicity and advertising in all media, including but not limited to print and electronic media, press releases, internet websites, and video media.  You further agree that all usage rights granted pursuant to these Program Terms are provided without requiring further notice, consent from, or royalty, payment or other compensation to, you.
